UK Data Protection & AI Addendum

(to be read together with the Terms and Conditions of www.webaie.com)

  1. Data Protection & Privacy
  • Lawful Basis for Processing
We process your personal data only where a lawful basis under the UK GDPR applies, including:
    • Consent (e.g., for marketing communications or cookies)
    • Contract (where processing is necessary to provide services)
    • Legal obligation (where we must comply with UK law)
    • Legitimate interests (where our interests do not override your rights and freedoms).
  • Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the following rights:
    • To access the personal data we hold about you
    • To request correction of inaccurate data
    • To request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
    • To object to processing, including for direct marketing
    • To request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
    • To receive a copy of your data in a portable format
    • To object to solely automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

You may exercise these rights at any time by contacting us at bee@webaie.com.

  • International Data Transfers
Where your data is transferred outside the UK (for example, to our service providers in the USA), we ensure safeguards are in place under UK GDPR (such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses).
  • Retention & Security
We only retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law. We apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data.
  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Transparency
  • Use of AI
Our services include generative AI and automated systems to provide customer experience responses. AI outputs may be machine-generated and not always fully accurate.
  • Human Oversight
Decisions that could have a legal or similarly significant effect on you will not be made solely by automated means; meaningful human intervention is available.
  • Fairness & Accountability
We seek to ensure our AI systems are fair, unbiased, and explainable in line with ICO guidance. We conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for high-risk AI uses.
  • Your Rights in Relation to AI
You may object to profiling or automated decision-making by contacting bee@webaie.com.
  1. Direct Marketing & Communications
  • Consent
We will only send you marketing communications (by email, SMS, or similar electronic means) where you have opted in or where we rely on legitimate interest and have balanced this against your rights.
  • Right to Opt-Out
You may withdraw consent or opt-out of marketing at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in communications or emailing bee@webaie.com.
  • DMA Code Compliance
We adhere to the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) Code of Practice, ensuring transparency, accountability, and respect for customer choice.
  1. Complaints & Supervisory Authority

If you have concerns about our use of your data, you may contact us at bee@webaie.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection, via www.ico.org.uk.
